Please Sponsor Me For the MS150
This isn't something that's tech related, but it's definitely something that drives me. Please read this post and act on it. I'm sure many of you understand.
I am writing to you about a cause that is important to me and one I hope you will support. I have committed myself to a physical and fundraising challenge, on September 24th and 25th, by joining the 25th Anniversary MS 150 City to Shore Bike Tour. Although only I can prepare for the physical challenge of this Tour, I need your help to meet my fundraising goal of $1000.
MS is an unpredictable and devastating disease that can attack any of us in the prime of life. Imagine…one day you are ready to take on the world…and the next day you are faced with the diagnosis of an incurable and unpredictable disease. The cause is a mystery. The cure is unknown. That is why I ride.
By making a donation, you help provide information, programs and services for more than 11,000 local families living with MS. To someone in a wheelchair, this can mean a grant to build a ramp onto their home or a car lift for their wheelchair or scooter.
One person recently told the National MS Society:
“In the past six months, my husband has fallen going down the stairs of our home, causing fractures—getting the chair lift has enabled us to remain in our home that we both love so much. Thank you for helping us.”
In addition, your donation will support research into finding the cause, cure and treatments of MS. Donations like yours are having an amazing impact. This past November, the FDA approved the sixth drug therapy for treating MS. This new drug provides hope and promise for individuals with relapsing forms of MS.
Every bit counts so please sponsor my efforts; simply:
Donate to my fundraising campaign online at www.ms15biketour.org. To credit my account, indicate my name and team name "Mark's Tsunami Riders".
Thank you in advance for making a difference!
